Work, work, shop, work.

Jacket: Big W
Scarf: Pink|Blue
Dress: Target
Long Sleeve Tee: Target
Ribbed Tights: Target
Shoes: Elle Effe

I’ve been working for 4 days now, how exciting!!
Actually, its a bit boring, sitting in the shop by myself all day - yesterday we only made one sale! But it means I get to sit back and read a book for the most part which is great.
Mondays are my day off as well as Sundays, so of course I had to go shopping with my mum under the guise of picking up my sewing machine (which I did, finally). This brown PU jacket and the grey ribbed tights are two of my purchases, as well as two more long sleeve tee’s from Cotton On (grey and black), a grey cardigan from Jeans West, and two more pairs of tights from Target. I never realised how fast you can spend money - I’m now down to my last $11.

I am going to try to find a good place to take outfit shots at work from now on because I never seem to have enough time in the morning, and by the time I get home its dark.

Also, is anyone else seriously missing Agathe?? It seems like she has been gone forever! I hope she comes back soon - my daily blog crawl just isn’t complete without her.

Phew!

Boy have I had a busy few days, sorry for not posting, but I’m hoping things will start to get back on track as of now.

So Tuesday is officially my first day at my new job, after two days of (intense) training at the Bacchus Marsh store I moved into my local store yesterday and completed my final training day.. I hope I remember everything for Tuesday!!
Heres my outfit for my second day of training - my first was too bland and I don’t have a photo of my third.

Vest: Secondhand//Top: Cotton on dress//Scarf: Cotton on//Bag: Local Store//Necklace: Sportsgirl//Skirt: Made by myself//Belt: Secondhand//Tights: Ebay//Boots: Payless Shoes.

I went out to the Bullet for my Valentine/Avenged Sevenfold/Atreyu concert last night - we left after Avenged, not really a fan of BFMV. This morning I woke to find an unfamiliar little white car on my front lawn..

It’s so perfect, it needs new tires and a bit of a touch up on the paint job, but for $812 it could have been a lot worse.

Today was also mothers day, so we went with the rest of the family to Daylesford for a picnic. Unfortunatley the op shops were closed (it being a Sunday and all), and the weather was freezing!!

Top: Living Doll//Scarf: Pink|Blue//Belt: unknown//Skirt: Made by myself//Bag: Unknown//Tights: eBay//Shoes: DFO.

Tomorrow is my day off from work so my mum is taking me to Watergardens to pick up my sewing machine (finally)/ go shopping.

Thanks for all your great comments, I will try to reply to them soon!!

Oh and also, a big thanks to the lovely Teacups and Tulle, who has featured my Chictopia profile on her blog - thanks darling =]

Poor.

Sorry about the lack of outfit posts, but I have been lazing around the house in my dressing gown for the past two days and tomorrow is going to be my last time working during the week at the bakery (hopefully).
I promise I will make up for it starting on Thursday - which will be my very first day of my new job!

Even though I haven’t been anywhere in the last week or so, my bank account has been suffering from too many purchases, two main ones being a pair of fabulous shoes from Urban Original:

Not the boots I posted about before, but a “tester” pair of shoes - they were alot less pricey and if they work out well then I will probably buy the boots also.

The second big purchase cost me a bit more than $50.. I just bought my first car today!
The fact that I can’t drive isn’t too much of a barrier, I’m hoping that having a car will encourage me to want to drive it.

Its a ‘91 Mazda 323 Astina in white (which will be lovely and wont clash with my outfits too much ^_^ ), with little pop up headlights, which are too cute =]
Small issue of it being in Sydney, but my obliging father was more than happy to hop on a plane and pick it up for me, so it should be arriving on the weekend.

I’m finally feeling like my life is going somewhere - and no its not just the new set of wheels. I’ve been so bored and jobless for ages so getting this job is so super amazing for me - even if its not at a flashy fashion store in the city.

I’ll leave you now with a couple of cute inspirational pictures - I would love to look like this for winter!

1. Rachel Bilson looking adorable in a muted palette of prints and floaty white mixed with leather (adorable shoes also).

2. I have no idea who this girl is or where I found her photo - but I love her comfy and casual look, especially her little beanie and whatever it is thats poking out of her cardigan (skirt?? iunno).

Back to square one

So after all the hunting and spending, I’m back to lusting after the AA shiny leggings.
I now have 3 pairs of el cheapo latex-look leggings, and none of them cut it. So I’ve been making a regular routine out of checking up on the AA website, hoping to convince myself to stop being such a stinge - AU$68 isn’t alot of money, especially for something I’m (hopefully) going to get alot of wear out of (I have this debate about the price of things with myself waay too often).
Seeing other bloggers wearing them is kind of convincing me - I mean, they look like they fit so well, especially in the knee department, which is where two of my three pairs fail me.
I was thinking perhaps I could buy the high waisted ones (at $AU71), because maybe the price would be a tad more justified as I could (maybe) wear them as high waisted pants..
I need convincing.. anyone?

Today

Tunic (worn as top): Cotton On
Shirt: Secondhand
Cardigan: Jeans West or somewhere
Jacket: Ebay
Skirt: Made by myself
Socks: Sportsgirl
Boots: DFO
Bag: Zappa Do

Sorry for not posting in a while - I’ve been very busy working (at the bakery - haven’t started my new job yet) and being sick. I didn’t get to go shopping on thursday but I’m hoping I’ll be able to this week because my sister has the day off.
The weather lately has been cold and colder - which is great for my layering habit. Today however was at least sunny so we decided to go into town for lunch.

Yessss!

I finally have a real job!

I applied for a sales position at my local surf/skate clothing store aaages ago, got 2 interviews but was just beaten by a girl I used to go to school with.
I just got a call from them and that girl is moving to the other side of the city, so I get the job!

I don’t care that I’m not much into surf labels - working locally and in a clothing shop will be so good. Plus I get free reign over all the shop displays - mannequins etc.

So excited ^_^

Waiting for tomorrow…

…aka payday, when these lovely things should be making their way to me before the money even hits my account…

These amazing boots from Urban Original:

Grey O-T-K socks from Sportsgirl:

And (if I can manage to track them down) those jeans from Living Doll:

Tomorrow will hopefully also mean the return of my beloved sewing machine too.. so looking forward to that.

In other news, is anyone else completely addicted to Sara Bareilles??
Apart from her music, I’m really liking some of the outfits I’ve seen her in

Are those sneakers I spy with that girly dress??! Love.

Sure, Sara, you can borrow my scarf..

Brown boots!! Jealous, me??

More sneakers!!

I love how this outfit is girly from the knees up.

Today I’m off to post some ebay items, and then I’m having a relaxing day in, with a face mask and a warm bubble bath. Outfit post tomorrow.

This is yesterdays outfit that I wore out to the old airstrip for a driving lesson with my boyfriend and my brother. My brothers friend showed up and in no time they were fishtailing and drifting around on the muddy ground. It was so scary and the cars got filthy.
